third time's the charm! hi, Brantley fans! our boy Michael has been named an All Star for the second year in a row and is going to Nationals Park in Washington, D.C., on July 17 as an American League outfield reserve!⭐⭐⭐👏👏👏
the happy news came tonight, on July 8 during ESPN's All Star Selection Show. Mookie
Betts of the Boston Red Sox, Mike Trout of the Los Angeles Angels, and
Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees are the starting outfielders for the American League team, which we basically already knew weeks ago. as soon as the very first AL All Star ballot updates
came out, it was pretty apparent that those three would be starters.
Michael was in 4th
place on the fan ballot for the first two updates before he fell to 5th
on the third released update. then, on July 2, MLB Communications
posted one last voting update and Michael remained in 5th place. though
he'd gained 299,302 votes since June 26, he was 48,285 votes behind
George Springer of the Houston Astros and 927,972 votes behind 3rd starter
Judge. Betts held a whooping 2,025,730-vote lead on Michael, who was
only ahead of 6th place Andrew Benintendi of the Red Sox by 22,241
votes. Brant was never really in the running to start, sadly.
thankfully, Michael was selected by his peers to be an AL
All Star reserve player for the third time in his career! he's the only Indians outfielder to
blogs about [2022 World Series Champion!] Michael Brantley and the Cleveland Indians, written by a diehard fan. i have no affiliation with the team, i just love 'em.
post "retirement" edit: four years after his time in Cleveland ended, Brantley won his first World Series with the Houston Astros. he's a Champion now, y'all. so happy for you, Brant! =D

Vote Brantley for MLB's 2018 All Star Game!
hello, Michael Brantley fans! get ready to input those captcha codes because it's time to once again vote for your 2018 MLB All Stars!⭐ the location for this year's game is Washington, D.C.!
Michael has been an All Star twice now in his career. he was initially chosen to be an OF reserve for the American League team in 2014, marking his very first Midsummer Classic experience. Michael was also selected to the ASG a second time by his peers as an AL outfield reserve player last season. this is Michael's walk-year, meaning he will be a free agent at the end of 2018 and it's presumed that he won't be returning to the Tribe. so

Corey Kluber Wins BBWAA's 2017 AL Cy Young Award!
it's week two of the baseball awards and the Indians have yet
another winner in their midst. this evening, on November 15, it was announced that Corey Kluber won Baseball Writers' Association of America's 2017 American League Cy Young Award!
this is Kluber's second Cy Young of his career, having previously won it in 2014. congratulations, Klubes!👏
this year, Kluber was a Cy Young finalist along with Chris Sale of the Boston Red Sox and Luis Severino of the New York Yankees. he finished with

Vote Brantley for MLB's 2017 All Star Game!
calling all Michael Brantley fans! i hope you're ready to get your vote on because it's now officially time to start picking the
2017 MLB All Stars!
Michael's first, last, and only appearance so far in an MLB All Star Game occurred in 2014 when he was selected to the American League team as a reserve player. he was not chosen to be part of the 2015 contest, and of course we all know that the 2016 ASG ended up being out of the question for him. (though i did push hard for fans to vote for Michael prior to his shoulder setback!) but with his injury issues finally out of the way, we need to get Dr. Smooth on the squad representing the Cleveland Indians this year.
after his first month of the regular season, Michael is currently batting

Vote Brantley For MLB's 2016 All Star Game!
hey there baseball and Michael Brantley fans! it's the last week of April and you know what that means--it's time to start voting for your 2016 MLB All Star players!
there's a very high probability that Michael will be activated off the DL tomorrow, on April 25. and if not tomorrow, then certainly later this week. just because Michael spent all of April thus far on the disabled list, that's no reason not to vote him to the Midsummer Classic. sadly, he was not selected to the American League All Star team last year, but he did make the 2014 team as a reserve. let's get him back to the ASG for his second appearance in three years, shall we?
in my humble opinion, Michael should not be penalized because

Brantley Not Selected For MLB's 2015 All Star Game
i was so excited last year when Michael made the AL All Star team
for the first time in his career. unfortunately this season, i will not
be repeating that joyous feeling. the All Star reserves were announced
today and Michael Brantley is not one of them.
this year's Midsummer Classic starters were revealed on July 5 in the 2015 All Star Starters Selection Show on ESPN. as expected, Michael was not one of the three starting American League outfielders. those honors went to Mike Trout of the Los Angeles Angels, and Lorenzo Cain & Alex Gordon* of the Kansas City Royals. the final AL voting results showed that Michael finished 9th out of 15 outfielders.
then on July 6 in ESPN's All Star Selection Show, the All Star reserves, pitchers, and final vote candidates were disclosed.

Vote Brantley For MLB's 2015 All Star Game!
we're not even one full month into baseball season, yet it's already
time to vote for our 2015 All Stars. and Brantley fans, this year we
have to do better. last year Michael was named to the American League
All Star Team as a reserve; let's make him a starter in 2015! =D
Michael's certainly had an eventful start to his season, struggling with a lower back strain that affected his play early on in April. but he seems to have found a way to not only manage the issue, but also still be able to take the field and be a positive contributor for the Indians. talk about resilient. right now he's batting .333, one of the better averages on the team. and with 17 hits, 5 doubles, and 6 RBI in 13 games, it's clear he's doing good things at the plate. i believe he's definitely worthy of being named an All Star for the second year in a row.
so how can you vote?
